Randy has served on new venture executive leadership teams supported by Caterpillar Venture Capital and Shell Fleet Services. In these co-founder and executive level roles he led the development and execution of business transformation strategies at an industry level. These ventures were recognized for driving innovation through technology and process improvement of legacy systems.
Randy has also been very active in industry associations. These have included the California Trucking Association Environmental & Legislative Policy Committee, the Inland Marine Underwriters Loss Control & Claims Committee, and the Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) to name a few.
For the AEMP while with Qualcomm and AT&T he played a key role in the development of an industry level telematics systems data standard. This required the cooperations of manufacturers and end users globally. This standard was accepted as a global ISO data standard and earned the AEMP the 2017 “Power of A Summit Award and two Gold Awards” from the American Society of Association Executives. The award is designed to showcase how associations leverage their unique resources to solve problems, advance industry/professional performance, kick start innovation and improve world conditions.
