Six Sigma Quality Champion, Amazon
Connor McIntyre is the Global Fleet and Product Safety Compliance Leader and Six Sigma Quality Champion for Amazon. In role since 2016, Connor’s team built the first of its kind Six Sigma training and certification system at Amazon. This system incorporates traditional Six Sigma tools and practices as well as SQL, Predictive Analytics, Vision System, Control System, 3D Simulation, and Programing. Amazon’s Six Sigma platform incorporates Amazon’s 16 Leadership Principles and is deployed across all lines of business globally. Connor is an active Bar Raiser (Amazon Executive Interview System) whereby he has the responsibility of leading Amazons interview process. Connor’s team is fusing data analytics with safety product and design across the Amazon Global Fleet. Connor is a Sr. Fellow with the Optness Institute and has developed Six Sigma MBA courses at several Universities in North America (Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Rice, Chicago Booth and Ivey) and actively teaches 100’s of MBA students a year (awarded Professor of the Year in 2021). Connor has been active in several causes for social justices serving on the board of Metanoia, Charleston Youth Development Center (oldest orphanage in the US), project leader for United Nations World Food Program (Malawi Africa) as well as loaned executive to the United Way. Connor’s passion is supporting Myotonic Dystrophy research and developing a cure to this deadly genetic disease (Both Connor’s wife Rossie and son Deegan have MD Type 1). Connor holds a bachelor's and master’s degree in business management from Florida State University and Military College of South Carolina (The Citadel). In his spare time, Connor enjoys sailing offshore, building racecars and smoking cigars.
