Director, International Trade & Security Policy, American Trucking Associations
Kaitlyn Holmecki is the Director of International Trade and Security Policy for the American Trucking Associations (ATA), the national trade association for the trucking industry. In this role Kaitlyn regularly collaborates with industry stakeholders, government agencies, and policymakers to advance the association’s international trade and security objectives, providing policy expertise on key regulatory areas, including customs rules and fees, tariffs, cross-border trade, cargo theft, illicit drugs proliferation, and cybersecurity.
As the staff liaison for ATA’s International Trade and Security Policy Committee, Kaitlyn collaborates with membership to shape and advance key policy priorities, programs, and initiatives for the trucking industry. Additionally, Kaitlyn serves as a staff liaison for ATA’s Law Enforcement Advisory Board (LEAB), which is comprised of current and former law enforcement officers. Since launching in 2021, LEAB has played a key role in strengthening collaboration between the trucking industry and the law enforcement community to better align our resources towards common objectives.
Prior to joining ATA in 2023, Kaitlyn spent 3 ½ years as the Public Access Coordinator for the State of Indiana. Before that, she worked first for the International Trade Administration's Office of the Trade Agreement Secretariat and then for UPS in their Global Public Affairs Office.
In 2022, Kaitlyn earned her Master of Public Affairs from the O'Neil School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. And in 2019, she graduated from The Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy Analysis from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in World Politics from the College of Arts and Sciences.
