Senior Counsel, OSHA
Anthony M. Casaletta is a Senior Counsel in Conn Maciel Carey LLP’s Detroit, Michigan office where he provides the full range of workplace safety and health law services.
Mr. Casaletta counsels and defends employers in a wide range of workplace health and safety matters conducted by Federal and State OSHA programs including Michigan Occupational Safety and Health (“MIOSHA”). He supports clients in all aspects of litigation against OSHA, from managing on-site inspections and investigations, to counseling on compliance with OSHA enforcement rules and standards.
Prior to entering private practice as an OSHA defense attorney, Mr. Casaletta spent more than a decade in various roles at Michigan OSHA, working his way up to Health Supervisor for the MIOSHA Construction Safety and Health Division. Through his tenure, Mr. Casaletta specialized in industrial hygiene and managed the MIOSHA Asbestos Program. Mr. Casaletta’s duties involved supervising and coordinating the enforcement activities of all MIOSHA CSHD industrial hygienists throughout the State of Michigan and participating on behalf of MIOSHA at hearings of contested MIOSHA citations.
