ELP enforcement has intensified, and fleets need practical, compliant ways to respond. Since June 2025, updated federal guidance and CVSA out-of-service (OOS) criteria have increased the operational impact of English Language Proficiency (ELP) compliance during roadside inspections. Join industry leaders for a discussion on ELP education programs, the current regulatory landscape, and how enforcement is being applied across jurisdictions. The session will review best practices for hiring and onboarding drivers with limited English proficiency, along with effective approaches for building the job‑relevant language skills drivers need on the road and during roadside inspections. We’ll also examine ELP‑related CVSA OOS rates and what those trends may mean for motor carriers and drivers. Participants will leave with practical insights to clarify compliance expectations, reduce OOS risk, and strengthen communication and safety across their operations.
